“To be fully seen by somebody, and loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous.”

I know the pain of a life spent longing to be known, yet doing everything possible to remain unknown.

To wonder how someone could possibly know my deepest shame and darkest secrets and STILL love me?

This is the gift that was given to me so many years ago when I first began to process my story. A dear and gentle woman sat with me. And sat and sat and sat, while I slowly and painfully unravelled myself.

One day, when I could finally bring myself to look up, what I saw in her eyes changed me. I saw an unflinching willingness to hold my pain no matter what, to sit with me for as long as it takes. That is how I experienced the life-giving gift of being truly known and truly loved, and it’s what I hope to give to those that work with me.

“In a gentle way, Lindsey leads you out of whatever situation you’re in to see light at the end of the tunnel. She helps you see yourself in a whole new light, and opens your eyes to see things more clearly.”

Healing begins when we decide that the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.

It takes courage to open our mouths and let out the words and emotions that terrify us, but that’s how we start to reclaim ourselves. It’s a sacred moment, when a client tells me “I’ve never said this out loud before”, yet there they are, spilling their pain and trusting me to hold it safely and carefully. It’s the moment when they realize they are not alone, that their story does matter.

Trauma can cause our lives to freeze over, like we’re trapped in cold barren earth. This work can be the thawing you long for. It’s such an honor to witness my clients’ blooming - coming into their own light, standing up straight and tall in their own skin, and reclaiming the life and possibility that is already inside them.

While we can’t change the past, we can change the hold it has on you.

While I can’t promise you a pain-free life, I can promise to enter into your pain and stay with you no matter what.

Little by little, we will travel far.
